# Stripe

> Give your agent browser and payment tools with Browserbase and Stripe Link.

Give your agent a task like sending someone flowers. It needs to choose a bouquet, arrange delivery, and pay with the user's approval. **Browserbase + Stripe** connects those steps on the merchant's website.

Browserbase runs the browser, and [Link](https://link.com/agents), Stripe's agent wallet, provides a payment credential after the user approves the purchase. Use Stagehand and Link SDK in your application, or give an existing coding agent Browse CLI and Link CLI.

For an ordinary card checkout, the merchant doesn't need to add a machine payments protocol. Your agent uses the existing website.

## How it works

1. **Prepare the order.** Navigate the site, select items, and read the final total and billing terms.
2. **Request payment.** Use Link to create a spend request describing the merchant, amount, and purchase.
3. **Get the user's approval.** Present Link's approval URL and wait for Link to report `approved`.
4. **Complete checkout.** Fill the credential directly into the browser fields, submit once, and verify the merchant's confirmation.

Link keeps the user's saved payment details in their wallet. For a card checkout, the agent receives a virtual card for the purchase. Keep that credential out of model prompts and logs.

## Prerequisites

* A [Browserbase account and API key](https://www.browserbase.com/settings).
* A [Link account](https://app.link.com) with an eligible payment method.

You don't need a Stripe secret API key to use the user's Link wallet.

## Choose your tools

Both guides use the same 1-800-Flowers delivery. Choose the path that matches how you build or use your agent.

Your application or coding agent controls how it plans tasks, selects products,
and asks the user for missing details.
